Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Heavy-Duty Mechanic will be responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing repairs on a variety of equipment in a safe, effective, accurate and timely manner.

What you'll do:
 
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy, compact, and material handling equipment
  • Use OEM diagnostic software, tools, and technical manuals
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, safety inspections, and road tests
  • Order parts, complete service reports, timecards, and warranty documentation
  • Collaborate with OEM technical support and internal service teams
  • Recommend repair solutions and improvements
  • Build strong customer relationships and ensure high-quality service
  • Follow workplace health and safety standards
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment, both in-shop and in the field (40 hours/week, Mon–Fri)

What you'll bring: 
 
  • Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician certification
  • Experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, including diesel engines, electrical systems, electronic controls, hydraulics, hydrostatic drives, transmissions, and driveline systems
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and team-oriented
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Welding experience considered an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
