The Yard Coordinator will work with the local branch to maintain the Yard and equipment as well as the organization and inventory management of equipment in the yard, respond to customer enquiries and provide exceptional customer service.

Working Conditions: The Yard Coordinator is based out of the Edmonton office and works 40 hours on average per week Monday to Friday. This role is expected to have frequent exposure of the elements (80% of the time).
The Yard Coordinator will work with the local branch to maintain the Yard and equipment as well as the organization and inventory management of equipment in the yard, respond to customer enquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate location of equipment in database.
- Maintain records of all transactions in the yard.
- Wash, clean and detail equipment as needed.
- Clean work area and tools.
- Inspect equipment upon arrival and prior to departure from yard. Ensure that rental units leaving and returning have 360’s completed and that all damages, fuel level and cleanliness of machines are reported to rental coordinators for billing purposes.
- Prepare and stage equipment in yard.
- Load/unload equipment on trailer.
- Spotting Heavy Machinery operators.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- General shop maintenance duties such as cleaning and minor building repairs.
- General yard maintenance duties such as maintaining grounds, snow removal and weed control.
- Assist in shipping and receiving and parts inventory, as needed.
- Other related duties, as assigned, including but not limited to:
- Deliver compact construction equipment using truck and trailer (1 ton), as needed.
- Delivering and picking up parts throughout the Edmonton area, as needed.
- Employ workplace health and safety practices consistently.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to operate forklifts, compact construction equipment, and pallet jacks in indoor and outdoor environments (training will be provided).
- Familiarity with Compact Construction equipment a plus.
- Strong computer skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to drive in variable road conditions, including pulling trailers between vendors and customer job sites.
- Ability to drive a ½ ton to a 1-ton truck.
- Physical exertion is required, including, but not limited to walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to work in environments with frequent exposure to the elements.
- Valid driver license required and clean driving record.
Training, Education and Experience:
- 1-2 years of work experience in an Industrial environment using or organizing equipment.
- Experience operating equipment would be an asset.
- Experience with ERP and equipment tracking apps is beneficial.
- Experience driving in variable road conditions.
- Driving experience of ½ ton to a 1-ton trucks is considered an asset.
- High school diploma.
Compensation Package:
- Hourly wage up to $ 25.47 depending on skills and qualifications.
